ERE Speaker Series Student Coordinator Position
The ERE Program is seeking an organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented student coordinator to manage our program’s various speaker series. The ability to work independently is vital.
Under the guidance of ERE faculty and staff, the Speaker Series Student Coordinator will manage and update the databases, send out invitations to potential speakers and follow up to confirm participation, arrange logistics including speaker’s presentation and A/V set up, schedule rooms, publicize the event via Eventbrite, various listservs as well as the SAIS Communications office, update social media sites including Twitter and Facebook, and other duties assigned as needed (an average of 5-10 hrs/week).
The Speaker Series Student Coordinator will work with ERE program staff to publicize the program’s speaker series calendars to VIPs in the energy and environment sectors. The Student Coordinator must be able to work independently and meet deadlines in a timely fashion.
The position is open to all SAIS students with preference given to ERE students. First year students are encouraged to apply, as the position could potentially extend into their second year at SAIS. The position will begin in early September 2019 and extend throughout the academic year, ending in May 2020.
