EES Program Assistant for Russia-Eurasia Seminars Position
The European and Eurasian Studies Program (EES) is seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented assistant to support seminars and faculty research as assigned.
The EES Program Assistant will interact with prominent guest speakers of EES Wednesday lunch events, work with EES faculty, and engage with the public and the SAIS community. These include Russia-Eurasia Forum seminars, EES Current Events seminars, and special events (lunch provided). Under the guidance of the EES Program Manager, programming tasks will include logistical planning, room set up, and events promotions (via social media, Bluser, campus flyers). Training will be provided. Additionally, research support tasks for EES professors, including Professor Charles Gati, may be assigned.
The ideal candidate will have availability on Wednesdays from 12-2:00pm, and additional flexible hours as needed for event planning and promotions (5-7 hours/week).
The position will begin the first week of the term (Tuesday, 3 September 2019) and conclude on 13 May 2020 (a flexible hiatus during winter break).
