Korea Data and History Initiative Research Assistant Position
This fall, SAIS Korea Studies Program will launch a new research website that will serve as a recruitment tool and resource for the policymaking, academic, and journalistic communities on the Korean peninsula. The Korean Data and History Initiative (KDHI) will feature a number of unique and innovative tools that in many ways showcase the educational experience of a SAIS Korea Studies student. It is heavy on data and economics as well as on the historical context.
The KDHI Research Assistant will join a dynamic, Korea-focused open source intelligence research team. The Research Assistant will help aggregate primary source information, historic and current, on the Korean peninsula.
A qualified candidate will be able to curate and track data on the two Koreas as well as write briefings on the countries' leaders and institutions. Qualified candidates are:
- strong writers
- passionate about history
- experienced in data aggregation and analysis
- interested in learning more about Korea from new and unique perspectives
