Research Assistant Position
Professor David Steinberg, in the International Political Economy program, is looking for a research assistant to help with a research project related to China’s foreign trade policy. The research assistant will provide English-language summaries of Chinese news articles related to the “trade war.” The research assistant will also help clean up and code data.
This position requires fluency in Chinese and English as well as familiarity with China’s political and economic system and Chinese trade policy. Strong econometric skills and an ability to do statistical analyses using R would be desirable, but are not required for this position.
Research assistants will be expected to work an average of 5-8 hours per week throughout the fall semester, but there is considerable flexibility in terms of hours worked on any given week. There is a possibility of extending the position beyond the fall semester. The salary range is $15-20 per hour, based on qualifications.
Interested candidates should submit a CV and cover letter to Professor Steinberg at email@example.com by October 9, 2019.
