Research Assistant Position
Professor Daniel Markey, Senior Research Professor in International Relations and the Academic Director of the Master of Arts in Global Policy program, seeks a research assistant for part-time work this summer and next academic year.
Professor Markey's recent research focuses on geopolitical responses to China, especially in Eurasia (South Asia, Central Asia, and the Middle East). He seeks an RA to help with light editorial work, literature reviews, contemporary and historical research, grant writing, and note taking from lectures/presentations on related topics.
Prospective applicants should have the following qualities:
· Sharp writing skills
· Solid organization and an ability to work independently
· Excellent time management with an eye toward meeting work deadlines
· Professional interest in US foreign policy, international relations, Eurasia, and China is preferred
The position requires up to 10 hours of independent work per week, starting on 6/1/20 to 5/31/21 with a potential for extension. The position will earn $20/hour. Applicants must be matriculating Johns Hopkins University students and eligible to work within the JHU system. International students are welcome to apply.
